Lives and works in Los Angeles.
Renee Rajala has been part of the Art Centers Program community for over twenty years. She works primarily in acrylic and watercolor paints and often works collaboratively with her fellow studio artists. Her immense body of work is known for its complex and layered abstract expressionist gestures and bold primary and secondary colors. Rajala’s work ethic is diligent and hyper-focused. Her time in the studio is almost entirely devoted to working on a painting, rarely does she devote much time to preliminary work and as such, her artwork reflects a kind of stream of consciousness way of creative expression. Outside of the studio Rajala enjoys shopping, dancing and has an extremely outgoing and social personality.
