Lives and works in Los Angeles
Milton Davis has been part of the ECF Art Centers since the program’s inception in 1968, when he joined the Art Centers after having completed public school at the age of fifteen. Davis’ aesthetic has been honed both by his unwavering commitment to refining his craft and due to a condition in the joints of his hands which he has learned to adapt to draw clean and steady lines. Milton prefers to draw people and animals, but never shies away from other subjects. He often creates some of the most imaginative still life images, intricate landscapes and abstracted designs of lines and color. When he is not drawing, he enjoys spending time with his adult children and traveling as often as he can. In addition to his prodigious body of work and distinct aesthetic, Davis is known for the compassion, concern and support that he extends to all studio peers and to his community.
