Christina Yoo

Christina Yoo was born in South Korea, lives in Los Angeles and has been working out of the ECF Art Centers’ Downtown LA studio since 2007, during which she has been a continuous source of inspiration to both her peers and mentors. Her work is a dedicated and ongoing study of the natural world and her place within it, as such her paintings often contain a mixture of objective observation and surrealist interpretations of the quotidian. This amalgamation between the commonplace and the fantastic are aesthetically reinforced via her energetic brushwork and lively palette which function in sharp contrast to the common subject matter at center of her work.
